I have been a proud resident and volunteer of Cedar Park, Texas for over 17 years, having moved from California, and I’ve lived in the Forest Oaks subdivision since 2005. I am an entrepreneur, and currently run my own independent landscape consulting company servicing the greater Austin, Cedar Park, and Georgetown area. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from the University of California, then completed the Health and Wellness program at UCLA.
I am passionate about my city, and I like working with others to solve challenging problems. I previously served on the city’s Community Development (Type 4B) Board for 3 years, City Council for 4 years, and the Tourism Board for 9 years, where I served as Chairman for two of my nine years on the board. In addition, I served last year as a member of a Charter Review Board tasked with a comprehensive review of the city’s charter.
I am very active within my Cedar Park community. I served for almost 9 years on the Forest Oaks HOA, 9 years as the Landscape Chairmen, and 4 years on the HOA Board. I stepped down after my 2nd year as HOA President when I was elected to City Council. I have also volunteered at Cox Elementary, contributed to the Leander Excellence in Education Foundation (LEEF). I supported the Texas Museum of Science and Technology. In addition, I have supported the Austin Steam Train, the Reveal Food Pantry & Board, Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce, YMCA Board of Directors, Heroes Night Out, and other Veteran Programs, Toyota of Cedar Park's International Women's Day Event, and continue to serve law enforcement and first responders through the 100Club.
I am the only candidate in this race with experience serving on the board of an HOA, the only candidate with experience serving on a city board, and I am the only candidate in this election active in the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce.
